Time Express
Title:  Time Express
Description:  This bizarrely-colored and cladded locomotive was actually Amtrak FP7A no. 492 dressed up for TV. It starred in the Vincent Price vehicle (heh) "Time Express", which was cancelled in 1979 after only 4 episodes had aired. You can find out more about this particular engine in this TrainOrders thread (more threads are linked in this one too): https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?4,1291718 . You can find out more about the show itself here: https://www.cancelledscifi.com/2021/05/01/sci-fi-tv-obscurities-time-express-1979/ . Steve Gartner photo, from the Ralph L. Did you catch my good side?
Title:  Did you catch my good side?
Description:  Only one side of Amtrak FP7A no. 492 needed the gold paint and cladding for its short-lived role on TV. The fireman's side behind the cab was plain-old Amtrak. This loco starred in the Vincent Price vehicle (heh) "Time Express", which was cancelled in 1979 after only 4 episodes had aired.
